Claude Afota was born in Beni Mellal, Morocco, in a very warm and colorful atmosphere, that strongly influenced his unique musical style, rich and charming vocal quality. Whatever it was it is now transferred through the medium of song.
In his youth, he learned to play the violin and the oud (lute). Raised in a family of vocalists, including his father and his uncle, who performed professionally, Claude continues to perpetuate the exotic beauty of his Moroccan musical heritage.
Even as a young boy, Claude was inspired by this passionate and emotion-filled music. His vocal style is akin to the rich tapestry of the make-up of North Africa's French and Spanish Flamenco musical weave.
